Zero Emissions

'Zero emissions' is when the carbon emitted into the atmosphere equals the carbon removed from it. This is the goal we should be be striving towards globally.

The organisations involved in South Ken ZEN+ are working together to establish a baseline for emissions across our member organisations. This will help us to track that downward trajectory of our emissions over time. It will also enable us to work strategically to identify the biggest emissions across our operations and collaborate to reduce them more quickly.

Some of our member organisations are already very sophisticated and have been actively tracking their emissions and moving towards decarbonisation for some time.  Others are at the very start of their journey.  Most are somewhere in the middle.  Through sharing of learning, experience, expertise and intelligence - and by joining forces on some things - we are helping each other to go further, faster.

Take a look at some examples of what is already happening in the neighbourhood.
