The Royal College of Music wins prestigious Green Gown Award

Congratulations to the Royal College of Music who have just won the Green Gown Reporting with Influence award!

Since launching their renewed Sustainability Strategy in 2023, the Royal College of Music has committed to embedding the highest standards of environmental and social practices in their operations. This comprehensive strategy builds on the RCM’s Sustainability Report 2022/23 which laid out five pillars: 

• Sustainability in teaching and research 

• Support music, culture and diversity 

• Sustainable operations 

• Sustainable partners and suppliers 

• Health and wellbeing 

With the ambitious goal of reaching net zero carbon emissions by 2035, the RCM impressed Green Gown judges with their embedded sustainability measures and their reporting transparency.
