RCM Ranked #1 for Sustainability

A huge congratulations to the Royal College of Music, who—for the second year in a row—have achieved first place for universities with fewer than 5,000 students in the People & Planet University League table.

People & Planet is an independent league table that ranks all UK universities based on their environmental and ethical performance, with a specific category for smaller institutions. Higher education establishments are assessed based on factors such as carbon emissions performance, resource usage, staff engagement, and policy documentation. The league table is published annually.

This fantastic result reflects the RCM's ongoing commitment to making real changes in environmental and social sustainability.

This year’s People & Planet League also confirms that the RCM has met the Higher Education Sector Emissions-Reduction targets, which were set in 2005.
