HRP's 2024-2027 Action Plan

Kensington Palace, part of Historic Royal Palaces (HRP), is implementing a sustainability strategy to reduce its environmental impact.

As outlined in Historic Royal Palaces 2024-2027 Action Plan, the palace is focusing on reducing carbon emissions, enhancing biodiversity, and improving waste management across its operations.

Key initiatives include transitioning to energy-efficient systems, reducing water usage, and adopting waste reduction measures. HRP is also committed to protecting the natural habitats around the palace, supporting biodiversity through sustainable landscaping practices.

Historic Royal Palaces is a key player in the South Ken ZEN+ Programme and has been instrumental in helping Exhibition Road Cultural Group members co-create a shared Sustainable Supply Chain Charter, which will set expectations and help reduce emissions across our supply chains.
