Goethe-Institut: Climate Change and Sustainability Workshops with PASCH Network

The Goethe-Institut’s PASCH network partnered with the Initiative für Junge Forscherinnen und Forscher (IJF) from Würzburg, Germany, to deliver two workshops focused on climate change and sustainability. Held in London and Glasgow, these workshops brought together PASCH students from across the UK to tackle real-world environmental challenges using innovative technologies like AR and VR.

Participants were immersed in sustainability scenarios, such as helping villagers respond to climate-related issues, while also practicing their German language skills. The workshops not only advanced students’ understanding of climate change but also encouraged cross-cultural dialogue by combining interactions in both English and German. This unique initiative created a space for cultural exchange, highlighting the importance of international cooperation and collaborating to accelerate when addressing sustainability challenges.
